If I Stole the Moon

If I stole the moon, I would hide it in plain sight
High above the earth, in the starry sky of night
If I stole the ocean, I would tuck it in the sea
Rolling deep between the waves, hidden it would be

If I wrote the truth, and sometimes I just might,
I'd stitch it to the words, in the stories that I write
We see least of all the riches right before our eyes
Oh treasures hidden deep in poems, in seas, and skies!
